It's been a while since I've posted, and things have not been going well...
My brewery (more commonly known as a closet) is contaminated. This unknown contamination has affected at least 20 gallons of beer (including a sour brown that was initially infected over a year ago, but I decided to let it ride to see what kind of flavors developed). I'm doing my best to identify the source, and I'm fairly sure I've got it figured out. However, for now I'm left with three empty (and possibly contaminated) taps, and a fear of sampling or transferring from any uncontaminated fermenters. My main worry at this point is ensuring my kegs are adequately sanitized. Once I've done my best to kill all living things inside of those I'll start moving beers down the pipeline again.
In the meantime I'll probably go ahead and put together summaries of each of the contaminated beers, so those should come shortly. Until then I'll keep my fingers crossed and fresh Star San ready..
